My daughter loves to feel like a princess and when she saw this on Amazon she begged me for it because to her, it's something a princess would have over her bed. She loves it, hangs it from the ceiling with a bunch of thumb tacks, and reads books at night inside of it. She spends a lot of time in there and it hasn't ripped, even with all the use it's getting.
My daughter has always wanted a canopy over her bed and this works great! It fits nicely over the headboard area of her bed.
The one we got was very dark and looked nothing like the pictures
I’ve had a few of these mosquito nets/bed canopies (from Pier One and other places) in different colors for decor which have been in storage until I hung one of them again for practical reasons. However that has developed large tears in the netting which is expected and totally understandable (hence why I can’t claim that any of these will be durable).I ordered this one so I could still keep my torn one, just give it a break, and the blue is a color I don’t have. When it arrived in a small plastic bag, I figured this contains only the netting but was pleased to be ahead of the game since I can use the bamboo circle from my Pier One canopy. I was pleasantly surprised upon unpacking the netting, that it contains the circle - just in a different material. Instead of a fixed bamboo circle (which is like trying to store a hula hoop when not in use), it is a wire closed forming a circular loop inside coordinating blue tubing.Like many of the collapsible fabric based things lately (tents, photographic backdrops etc), this wire just unfolds into a perfect circle, and with the right twist can be folded for easier storage. Note that the tubed wire is threaded into the canopy fabric by a rod channel (like a curtain) so it is all one piece. Just need to use the hooks and/or cord provided to hook the metal ring sewn into the top of the canopy, then suspend from the ceiling.I do wash my nettings which is achieved by untying a series of ties from around the bamboo circle, so all you place in the wash is the netting with its metal ring. In anticipation of washing this one, I inspected the rod channel to find an opening, also found the opening/connection where the wire meets, and can see that I can remove the wire assembly for washing the netting alone - although it might be tricky trying to reinsert the wire through that channel.The only disappointing feature that is disappointing since it doesn’t exist - is the claim that it is glow in the dark. That wasn’t a selling point for me, I just wanted a replacement. But if anyone wants it for that reason - there is no added glowing ornamentation or apparent glow in the dark dye used on this fabric. It has been up for days now, and I have made t-shirt using glow in the dark ink. So it’s not that this hasn’t been “charged/exposed” enough, there isn’t any glowing ink/dye on this netting.Overall I am please with this netting particularly because of the folding wire feature.
This is a perfect canopy for the Cinderella or Bella Princess lover.It is easy to assemble and hang on the ceiling. The netting is light, airy and tinted light blue.10/10 would recommend.
